Amernet rose to international attention after their first season, winning the Gold Medal at the Tokyo International Music Competition in 1992. In 1995, the group was the First Prize winner of the prestigious Banff International String Quartet Competition.
Canadian pianist Shoshana Telner made her solo orchestral début with the National Arts Centre Orchestra at the age of 16.
